World Autism Awareness Day

What do people do?
Many events are organized on World Autism Awareness Day. These include:
- Panel discussions with autism experts, politicians and non-governmental organization (NGO) representatives.
- Informational events for parents of children with autism.
- Conferences and workshops for professionals working with people with autism.
- Artistic workshops for people with autism.
- Television and radio shows, as well as newspaper features, about people with autism and their lives.
- The launch of educational materials for parents and teachers.
- Exhibitions of art work by artists with autism.
- The display of posters and banners to increase public awareness of autism.
Special clinics are also organized for families dealing with autism to obtain consultations with pediatricians, educational psychologists and social workers

NIE Staff & Pensioners Add Power to Camphill

Seamus Murphy (Father of Conor) completed this year's Dublin City Marathon to raise funds for Camphill Community Glencraig. Congratulations and thanks to Seamus for his fantastic efforts.

Congratulations to Andrew Byrne on completing the Chicago Triathlon to raise funds for Camphill Community Clanabogan.
DOWN TO DINGLE CYCLISTS RAISE £6,106!
Congratulations and well done to our Down to Dingle Cyclists (and supporting crew!) who safely completed their 300 mile Sponsored Cycle from Down to Dingle on Sunday 8th August. Peter and friends have raised the fantastic total of £6,106.65p for Camphill Communities NI.
President McAleese visits Glencraig for 70th Anniversary celebrations
"Camphill is a Bridge to the Fullness of Life" says the President.
Camphill to reduce its carbon footprint
Camphill Communities Northern Ireland has recently secured substantial grant funding through the Low Carbon Communities Challenge (LCCC) to help fund the installation of a Biomass District Heating System in Camphill Community Glencraig.
